Billie Eilish, Tom Cruise and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to take centre stage in the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday night.
They will play in Los Angeles with their performances being beamed into the ceremony in the Stade de France. Cruise, 62, is expected to perform a Mission Impossible-style stunt in the stadium as Paris passes the baton to Los Angeles for the next games.
And to keep up his ever-present status at the games, Snoop Dogg is also set to make an appearance. The music legends have been chosen because of their links to LA, where the games move to in 2028, according to Variety magazine.

Pop sensation Eilish, 22, was born in LA. Snoop, who introduced break dancing in Paris, is from Long Beach and is one of the biggest West Coast rappers ever. The Chili Peppers emerged out of LA’s punk scene in the 1980s.
Celine Dion gave a stand-out performance for the opening ceremony part way up the Eiffel Tower. The location of the LA performances on Sunday have not been revealed following a security clampdown after three Taylor Swift concerts were cancelled in Austria due to a bomb plot.
There has been heightened tension around live music and concerts after Austrian authorities thwarted a terrorist attack planned during Swift's three shows in Vienna for her Eras Tour.
As a result, Variety has decided not to disclose the location of the performance. The publication also highlighted that security and crowd control were already areas of concern even before the incident in Vienna. Measures have been put in place to counter potential threats from the air, land and sea in the Californian city.
The closing ceremony of the Olympics is also rumoured to feature a thrilling stunt by Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, which has been making headlines in the media. Cruise is expected to perform some daredevil moves on his motorcycle before transitioning to a pre-recorded segment showing him parachuting down to the iconic Hollywood sign.
As the baton is passed to Los Angeles for the next games at the Closing Ceremony, all three artists set to perform have strong ties to the city. Eilish, a native of LA, released a concert film in 2021 titled Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles. Snoop Dogg hails from Long Beach and is a prominent figure in West Coast rap. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, who emerged from the LA punk scene in the 1980s, are known for their hit song Californication, which has become an anthem for the state.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will receive the Olympic Torch at the end of the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, marking the beginning of the countdown to the LA games. The games are scheduled to take place from July 14 to July 30 in 2028.
