Gardai arrest motorist on "cocktail of drugs" driving at 126 km/h
The motorist allegedly tested positive for a combination of cocaine, cannabis and methamphetamines after being stopped by gardai in the early hours of Saturday morning
Gardaí in Donegal have arrested a driver driving at 126 km/h 'on a cocktail of illegal drugs'.
The motorist was arrested outside Letterkenny in the early hours of this morning.
When tested by Gardai from the Letterkenny Roads Unit, the driver allegedly tested positive for a combination of cocaine, cannabis and methamphetamines.

After being arrested and transferred to Letterkenny Garda Station, the driver had a blood sample taken.
That sample will now be sent for further analysis as Gardaí consider the next steps in the case.
The driver in question has already been handed a fine for the speeding offence.
It comes just a week after Gardai in the county issued a warning after 12 drivers were arrested over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
A total of seven were arrested for drink driving, a further two were arrested for drug driving and a further three were arrested for dangerous driving.
Head of the Garda Traffic Corps, Inspector Seamus McGonigle said driving under the influence is simply not acceptable.
