Women share 'common' relationship issue that pushes them to cheat on husbands

A concerned man has taken to social media in an attempt to discover why women cheat on their partners in a relationship - and claims there's a trend within their answers

Women share 'common' relations

While everyone knows cheating on your partner is wrong, this doesn't seem to be enough to stop people from doing it.

According to a 2021 study, a whopping 21% of Americans admitted to cheating on a partner, an increase of 1% from the previous year. In an attempt to understand what makes a woman cheat on her partner, a concerned man asked on Quora users: "What made you cheat on your husband?" In response, he discovered a 'common' relationship issue that pushes women into another person's arms.

One user admitted: "My ex-husband lost all sexual desire. No matter how I tried he wouldn't [have sex with] me. The problem is I really wanted it. So I had sex with a guy who lived across the road. He wasn't very good, so I told my husband I was going to stay with a girlfriend for the weekend, but instead went to an orgy, that both my ex-husband and I were regulars at.

"It didn't take long, but cheating on him became a turn-on in itself. When I did get caught, I really didn't care, and it was a quick divorce." However, another woman says she only cheated on her husband after learning he was unfaithful on her.

She said: "He was cheating and I knew it. One of the guys he hung out with couldn't believe he was cheating on me so he told me about it. I told him to get me proof and I will do you. He brought me a photo of my husband banging a girl at his office (he was a business owner) and when my husband went to sleep that same day, I slept with his friend in the next room. He never knew. I do not need others to know for it to be successful revenge."

Seconding this, another woman claims she only cheated on her partner because he betrayed her first. She said: "I was heavily pregnant and he did not find that attractive. He even met a woman online that he [slept with] in our shared house. I found her underwear later that day. He denied everything."

But one more woman shared how while she regrets being caught cheating, she doesn't fell bad betraying her partner in this way. She said: "I always hesitate right before I cheat as if considering the consequences. But I have never had any regrets during or after the actual cheating. However, I do feel guilty if I get caught, and sometimes even if I don’t. I justify it to myself by saying that we never had an explicit agreement to share things equally and that he knew of my addiction before we got married."
