Sarah Lavin takes to track today as she finally gets her 2024 Olympic campaign under way.
The flag-bearer has had to wait patiently for almost two weeks before getting to step onto the track at the famous Stade de France but will get to do so today as the heats begin for the women's 100m hurdles.
Lavin is out in Heat 4 on Wednesday morning. Her race is scheduled to begin at 9.39am.

The hurdler is expected to make it out of her heat and into the semi-final, but even if she doesn't get the job done this morning, she will get a second chance in the repechage.
While Lavin is one of the last Irish athletes to compete, she was one of the most visible stars of the opening ceremony and was Ireland's flagbearer alongside Shane Lowry.
