Celtic will take on Chelsea tonight as part of a pre-season tour of America in the home of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Chelsea under new boss Enzo Maresca played their first match of pre-season mid-week with a 2-2 draw in a highly-anticipated friendly. Maresca saw the fight and passion that he wanted from his players very early, as just two minutes in Levi Colwill was involved in a heated clash with Wrexham's James McClean. The Blues will play a total of five games stateside in preparation for the new Premier League season Including tonight's clash against the Scottish champions.

Celtic stunned the Premier League champions Manchester City on Tuesday with an impressive 4-3 victory. The Scottish giants will provide a tough test for Chelsea, having enjoyed a good pre-season record so far, beating Queen’s Park, DC United, and Man City plus drawing with Ayr United along the way.

The match will kick off at 9 PM Irish time.

Team information

Kasper Schmeichel made his debut for The Hoops against City and Is likely to feature again tonight. Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers aren't likely to play following their efforts in the Copa America.

Cole Palmer, Marc Cucurella, and Conor Gallagher will not play any part against Celtic on Saturday. Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk has travelled to the US though and could start the game in Indiana.
