Conor McGregor has warned the UFC that he plans to move to rival organisation Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship when his current contract expires.

McGregor has not fought in the UFC since July 2021 and his future remains uncertain after withdrawing from his June 29 bout against Michael Chandler.

The Dubliner, who has not won a fight since January 2020, was in Marbella this afternoon to help promote the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and made it clear he intends to switch from MMA to bare-knuckle fighting.

"I am coming to the end of my contract, I have two fights left," McGregor said.

"This is a very exciting organisation here and for sure how could you not look to become a two-sport world champion and something as wild as a bare-knuckle fighting organisation.

"We've got the money, we've got the dough these are big payouts. A coveted title in a wild and dangerous game for any real fighter out there that's all you want to hear. Money, power, respect, and bare-knuckle fighting championship has it all."

McGregor did mention his cancelled bout against Chandler but made it clear his sites are set on a move to bare-knuckle fighting.

"I was very close to my bout taking place, I was about three or four weeks out and I had a little lapse in concentration," he told media.

"I'm s*** hot and I'm very good and I mean that. My accuracy will lend well to this sport. If you take my gloves off my speed and my accuracy will lend well into this sport.

"I had that issue in the last fight and I had to reschedule and postpone but I'm just looking forward to getting back into the octagon myself and handling my business with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and seeing what the future holds. The future is bright, for sure. "
