A man was beaten up in Nicosia in the early hours of Friday morning in what police described as a homophobic attack.
The 31-year-old man was attacked by a group of five to 10 people who had their faces covered at around 2am.
He reported that the same people also stole his phone, wallet and car keys in addition to making homophobic and racist comments.
The man was taken by a friend to Nicosia General hospital where he was diagnosed with various injuries and bruises, received first aid and was released.
Police investigations found the keys of the man’s car near the attack, while all four of his tyres had been damaged.
