Thirty kilos of cocaine was found by police in a container in Larnaca, the force announced on Monday.

Officers of the police drugs branch Ykan were searching the container after a tip off when they found a bag inside it, which was stuffed with the 30kg of drugs.

The container had been imported from overseas.

The drugs were then seized.
