Paphos man wanted for theft of

An employee is wanted for theft of money and a check from his employer on Monday, Paphos police reported.

According to Paphos assistant police chief Michalis Nikolaou, the case was reported on Saturday by the 43-year-old employer. According to the complainant the employee who worked as a distributor at a trading company, on October 25, allegedly stole company funds as well as a check.

The suspect had been assigned to deliver products to customers and to collect payments. According to the complaint, the suspect returned with the company vehicle and left without handing over the proceeds.

On November 20, the suspect allegedly unsuccessfully tried to cash a company check. An arrest warrant was been issued against him and he is wanted.

Paphos CID is furthering the investigation.
