A driver was trapped behind the wheel after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a crash with a bus on the Regional Road in St Julian's, the police said.

The accident took place at 10.30am.

Civil Protection Department officers are on site to assist the man.

Both the southbound and northbound carriageways is currently closed to traffic.
