Another u-turn after weeks of defending 'fraud', Bernard Grech says on Bartolo resignation
"After weeks of defending the fraud and a lot of dragging of feet, today we have had another u-turn, and Clayton Bartolo has given in to the pressure and resigned as a Minister," Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech said on social media in reaction
"After weeks of defending the fraud and a lot of dragging of feet, today we have had another u-turn, and Clayton Bartolo has given in to the pressure and resigned as a Minister," Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech said on social media in reaction to Bartolo's resignation from his post as Tourism Minister.
Grech commented that this "late and half-baked action" was only taken because the people united against "the fraud of Robert Abela and his government".
The Opposition Leader continued that Bartolo's resignation is not enough, as there is also the matter of returning the money that had been paid to Amanda Muscat - Bartolo's wife - along with the "obligation to immediately remove Clint Camilleri" on the part of the Prime Minister.
Grech commented that Camilleri is "guilty of fraud and cover-up".
The PN Leader concluded that events such as this only happen because of the people uniting against "the bad of the government", and continued that he encourages people to continue uniting as one to see to it that there is a new government which is able to stop the fraud.
