A man was grievously injured after he was hit by a car on Thursday afternoon, the police said Friday.

The accident took place in St Paul’s Street, Valletta, at 7pm.

The pedestrian, a 56-year-old from Hungary, was hit by a Toyota Auris driven by a 51-year-old man of San Gwann.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
