The Maltese Parliament opened its doors to the public on the occasion of Notte Bianca, which this year was held on Saturday, 5 October.
The building welcomed several visitors, both Maltese and foreigners, who all had the opportunity to view the interior of the building, including parts that are normally not open to the public, such as the offices of the Government and the Opposition.
Visitors also had the chance to tour the rooms where parliamentary committees meet and view the Parliament Hall.
Speaker Anġlu Farrugia, as well as Government Whip Naomi Cachia and Opposition Whip Robert Cutajar, were present for a while, where they had the opportunity to speak with those who visited the building on this occasion about the work done by the Members of Parliament.
During the evening, Parliament staff were also present to welcome the public and explain various aspects of parliamentary procedures.
At the entrance of the Parliament, the public also had the opportunity to view the exhibition organized by Għaqda Każini tal-Banda, titled 'Puccini the Photographer,' as part of the activities being held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death.
