The Nationalist Party has extends its thanks to the Maltese soldiers, both women and men, who are currently serving in Lebanon as part of the United Nations peacekeeping force (UNIFIL).

"During these challenging and uncertain times, our soldiers are showing extraordinary courage and commitment in their mission to uphold peace and stability in Lebanon, a region fraught with political instability and security threats."

The PN acknowledged the sacrifices made by these members of the Armed Forces of Malta, "who continue to represent Malta with honour on an international level, even beyond Lebanon. Their work, under the mandate of the United Nations, contributes to a safer and more peaceful environment, reflecting Malta's commitment to global peacekeeping efforts."

The PN "salutes these soldiers serving their country with such courage and professionalism. The PN recognises that their contribution in Lebanon is crucial not only for the region but also for Malta's standing as a responsible member of the international community."

The party reaffirmed its support for the Armed Forces and said it remains committed to ensuring that all Maltese personnel serving abroad receive the resources and recognition they deserve.

The PN statement was signed by PN MPs Darren Carabott, Shadow Minister for Internal Affairs, Security, and Reforms, and Beppe Fenech Adami, the Shadow Minister for Foreign and EU Affairs, and Trade
