Bus driver rushed to hospital after crashing into pole in Dublin city centre
The driver, a man in his 50s, was the only person on the bus at the time
A bus driver was rushed to hospital following a collision with a pole that took place on Dame Street in the heart of Dublin city. The incident occurred at around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon.
The driver, a man in his 50s, was the only one aboard when the incident occurred. He is being treated at St James' Hospital in Dublin for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, reports Dublin Live.
Thankfully, no one else was harmed.

A statement by An Garda Síochána read: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Dame Street in Dublin 2 this afternoon, Friday 10th January 2025. A bus collided with a street pole at approximately 3:30pm.
"The male driver (50s), and sole occupant of the vehicle, was conveyed to St. James' Hospital for treatment of injuries, not believed to be life-threatening at this time. No other injuries were reported.
"The road, which had been closed for a period of time, has since reopened to traffic."
