Shelbourne appoint former Dublin GAA star as new chief executive
The reigning SSE Airtricity Premier Division champions are hoping that he can bring the success he had as Dublin GAA's Commercial and Marketing Director to Tolka Park
Former Dublin football ace Tomás Quinn is Shelbourne's new CEO - with the club describing his appointment as a "significant step" in their evolution.
Quinn, who was a forward with the Dublin footballers for nine years between 2003 and 2012, is joining the current SSE Airtricity Premier Division champions from his role as Commercial and Marketing Director of Dublin GAA since 2013.
The St Vincent's clubman, who won one All-Ireland and seven Leinster titles at intercounty level, helped behind the scenes to make the Dubs the most powerful commercial force in the GAA.

Shels will be hopeful that he can sprinkle some stardust in that regard in their bid to move their commercial efforts to a new level in the wake of their first title since 2006 and on their return to Europe for the coming season.
The announcement follows the departure this week of Barry Mocke from the role. Quinn will take up his role in early April, with co-owner Neil Doyle holding the reins until then.

Quinn's appointment follows the departure earlier this week of Barry Mocke from the Tolka Park outfit.
