An urgent recall has been issued for a Christmas candle holder bought by almost 200 people all around Ireland.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has warned customers that CDS Superstores International Ltd, which trades as The Range in Ireland, has issued a recall for the All I Want for Christmas House Scene with Tealight Holder.

The risk presented by this product is fire. If an incorrect candle size is used, the flame will become exposed and may result in burns.

The brand is All I Want for Christmas. The model is 23HGB33645L. The SKU is 364270. The barcode is 91533111. All batches are affected. There are approximately 191 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

The All I Want for Christmas House Scene with Tealight Holder has been recalled

Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any The Range store for a full refund.

Meanwhile, Dunnes Stores has recalled batches of its cheese products due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland warned that the retailer had recalled batches of Beechwood Smoked and Tomato and Herb Wicklow Cheddar due to the possible presence of the bacterium.

Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications.
