Maura Higgins reveals one surprising thing after I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here
Maura was the fifth contestant to be voted off the ITV show, which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland.
Maura Higgins said she learned she is “tougher” than she thinks as she returned home after I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
The reality TV star was the fifth contestant voted out of the hit ITV show, with many viewers airing their frustrations after Barry McGuigan and Maura were sent home on the same night.
Longford native Maura has now opened up about her experience of being on the show, saying she had the best “three weeks” of her life.
Captioning a series of pictures of her and her fellow campmates, she wrote: “If you ask me about my time in the jungle I'll say it was so much fun but if you ask me on a deeper level I'll say it was the best three weeks of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

“I was so lucky to have met my incredible campmates who are all now my friends for life, and I couldn't have done it without each and every one of them.
“I've learned that I'm a lot tougher than I think (although spiders still terrify me!) and I'm so grateful for each and every person (all 750 of them!) who worked on this incredible show. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and to ITV for the experience of a lifetime. I love you all.”
It comes after the former love Island star was reunited with love interest Pete Wicks after he was booted off Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend.
The 34-year-old expressed pride in Pete's Strictly journey and hinted at their relationship during an ITV's This Morning interview, playfully suggesting Alison Hammond could be a bridesmaid at their potential wedding.
Maura opened up about her feelings, saying: "You do forget about the cameras, and I do like to keep things private, but let's be real, I said it. I can't remember saying it, but I said the words, 'I miss him'. I do miss him, like I missed all my friends and family."
She also praised Pete's support: "Honestly, he's been so supportive, honestly. I didn't know if he was still in Strictly and I'm so proud of him, he's proud of me, and I can't wait to see him when I get back."
