RTE Late Late Show lineup sees

RTE has unveiled a bumper lineup of Irish guests for this Friday night's Late Late Show, which will also coincide with the first glimpse at the General Election exit poll results.

Joining host Patrick Kielty this Friday night will be a pair of Tommys, a selection of political experts, the brave parents of Toy Show icon Saoirse Ruane and a special musical performance.

Tommy Tiernan leads the lineup this weekend, with laughs aplenty expected as Tommy will discuss performing in the United States of America while the recent presidential election took place. He will also chat about taking his Tommedian show across Ireland and Europe through the next few months, as well as previewing the return of his own RTE chat show in the New Year.

As exit poll results emerge at around 10pm, the General Election will be the main talking point as Patrick will be joined by two Behind the Ballot podcast presenters, Katie Hannon and David McCullagh, as well as The Irish Times' political correspondent Jennifer Bray to discuss early indications of how Ireland voted on Friday.

Ireland rugby legend and Ireland AM presenter Tommy Bowe will be in RTE studios to outline the details of his brand-new skincare line, called Flow by Bowe. The ex-Ulster winger will also preview Ireland's clash with Australia on Saturday, when his former coach Joe Schmidt returns to his former stomping ground.

Roseanna and Ollie Ruane, parents of the unforgettable Saoirse Ruane, will take to the stage to talk about how their daughter captured the hearts of Ireland and inspired the RTE Toy Show appeal during the course of her short life. Saoirse tragically passed away, aged 12, earlier this year following a lengthy battle with a rare form of cancer.

Music on the night comes from Galway singer Mary Coughlan, who will mark four decades in the music industry by performing her hit I'd Rather Go Blind live.

The Late Late Show airs at 9.35pm on RTE One and the RTE Player.
