Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry attended last weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, where they enjoyed a weekend in Sin City.

With the golf season finished, the pair made the short journey from their Florida homes to Nevada to watch Max Verstappen be crowned champion for the fourth year.

Both avid sports fans, Lowry was joined by wife Wendy as they stayed at the luxurious Wynn Hotel and Casino for the weekend and rubbed shoulders with some musical and sporting royalty.

Wendy shared snaps of the pair with musical icon John Legend, golf star Max Homa, and his wife, Lacey.

The pair also saw inside the McClaren garage before the big race and posed for photos with Olympian Tara Davis-Woodhall and Paralympian Hunter Woodhall.

Rory McIlroy, who was snapped at the event, was also in attendance. McIlroy is no stranger to Formula One and recently invested in Team Alpine.

Gladiator star Paul Mescal also attended and chatted on the grid with Martin Brundle.

Mescal is friends with Team Ferrari stars Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

“It’s all going off. We’re excited for the race today,” he told Sky Sports.

Verstappen clinched the title with an impressive win in Las Vegas.

He said after the race: "I think in your life, every year, there are always thoughts going through your head. How long do I still want to do this? Where do I want to do this? How do I want to do this?'

"There are things in your private life that happen, of course. In your racing life, there are always things that you have to deal with and think about.

"But that's fine. [I'm] in general quite relaxed about these things because it's very important to split your private life and racing life. But it's fine to have these thoughts in your head about what you want to do."
