Late Late Show viewers left in stitches as technical difficulties strike before sweet gesture
The team at the Late Late Show were handing out some tickets for the Late Late Toy Show as a surprise in a heartfelt gesture but their live feed did not want to cooperate
Late Late Show viewers were left in stitches after the show was hit with technical difficulties just seconds before a sweet moment.
The team at RTÉ were handing out tickets to the Toy Show, and wanted to make sure someone in Lucan was surprised with them.
Patrick Kielty sent some of his Toy Show elves to hand tickets to Niamh McCabe, whose best friend Lynsey Daly is giving her a kidney.

With the transplant set to take place next year, Niamh nominated her friend for the tickets as a way to thank her.
Niamh secretly opened up the door to the camera crew as they arrived at the house, with Lynsey also in the home, but was unsure about what was going to happen next.
"Is that Niamh?" host Patrick asked as they approached the house. "They have genuinely no idea.. hi Niamh! Are we good to go? Can we come in?"
"Lets see if we can say hello to Lynsey!"
Unfortunately, the live feed was quite laggy as they entered the house, to the amusement of the audience in the studio, who laughed as it totally froze.
Once they headed inside, the live feed stopped, with Patrick joking that viewers at home might need to return for season two of the saga.
Joking about the bad feed, Patrick then pretended to be frozen as they returned from a competition segment.
After the break, they were straight back with the live feed which was now up and running.
Talking about the heartfelt gesture from her friend, Niamh explained why the camera crew was there.
"You are giving me the gift of life after Christmas, you are donating your kidney to me, so I never in a million years thought that this would happen but they contacted me and they have a little surprise for us."
Patrick then chimed in to share that Niamh and Lynsey would be heading to the Late Late Toy Show.
The pair were delighted as fake snow was thrown over them, before Patrick returned to the studio to be joined by his next guest.
