I'm A Celeb's Maura Higgins 'will decide what she really wants' with Pete Wicks amid time apart
Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks have been at the centre of romance rumours for months, but both have denied that they are officially dating despite being seen on several outings together.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Maura Higgins and ex TOWIE star Pete Wicks may form a "deeper connection" amid spending weeks apart, a relationship expert has claimed.
In recent weeks, the pair have fuelled romance rumours due to their frequent sightings together - one of which reportedly included a kiss.
Despite this however, the reality stars have denied that they are anymore than good friends, for now.
Relationship guru Jesper Jensen, from ExpertsEnAmour, believes the duo's break away from each other, as Maura competes in the Australian jungle, could seal the deal on their status.
He told Reach PLC: "Time apart helps people figure out what they really want. If they genuinely value each other and prioritise regular communication, this separation could deepen their connection and clarify whether they're ready to make things official. Distance gives perspective and makes relationships stronger."
Ahead of taking part on the show, Maura, 33, insisted she is single when quizzed by The Mirror.
"I mean, I've been on a date with many people," she shared. "I'm not [dating]. Where have you heard that? I date but I'm very much single."
Last month, she gushed over Pete who she claims she "instantly clicked" with following her stint on Love Island in 2019.
Speaking on Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, she added: "Our humour is the same. It's like that sick, dark humour. It's very abusive. We abuse each other.
"Very nasty, hilarious. We just get on very, very well. Very, very well. I adore him, he's amazing."
Strictly Come Dancing sensation Pete, 36, has also denied that they're an item.
Speaking on Olivia Attwood's So Wrong, It's Right podcast, he said: "I think Maura is great and we get on very well and have done for a very long time."
He went on to dismiss claims that he was in a relationship, despite the host suggesting he wasn't telling the truth.
Eager to steer away from the romance rumours, Pete mentioned his Strictly involvement and quickly shut down more dating speculation involving him and his dance partner Jowita Przystał.
