Roy Keane reacts as his future son-in-law scores for England against Ireland
Southampton’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis scored England’s fifth in their demolition of Ireland at Wembley
Roy Keane has joked that Taylor Harwood-Bellis’s debut goal for England could cost him his wedding.
Harwood-Bellis is engaged to Keane’s daughter Leah and the legendary former Manchester United and Ireland midfielder was at Wembley on Sunday to watch him mark his debut with a goal.
Keane was on ITV punditry duty as England produced a sensational five-goal second-half display to sent Heimir Hallgrímsson’s side packing.

Watching a replay of the goal, Keane said: “It’s bittersweet for me, this.”
He was then told: “Not everyone knows that’s your future son-in-law.”
Keane quickly replied: “Yeah, yeah, it’s not done and dusted yet. Things can changed very quickly in the Keane household, let me tell you that.”
However, he added that he was happy for his future son-in-law, who made a permanent move from Manchester City to Southampton during the summer, after spending last season on-loan at St Mary’s.
Keane said: “I’m delighted for him. Over the last few months he has got a goal-threat, even playing for Southampton, and it’s nice for him.
“It’s good to make his debut, and as I said he’s a bit of a goal threat. He’s a nice kid and his family has done a great job. He’s a really nice kid.”
