Michael Conlan labels Katie Taylor the "GOAT" after win over Amanda Serrano
Katie Taylor retained her belts ahead of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson in Texas
Michael Conlan made his feelings very clear on what he thinks of Katie Taylor and her illustrious career in boxing.
The Belfast boxer said on social media: “Katie Taylor is the GOAT when it comes to women’s boxing, she’s changed the game for women!”
It came after Taylor’s win over Amanda Serrano in Texas as she retained her WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF, IBO and Ring Magazine super-lightweight world titles with another win over her opponent.

Conlan replied to Netflix’s video of the judge's decision saying, “The GOAT”, a decision that fans around the AT&T Stadium greeted with boos with many fans online disagreeing with the judges.
The American commentators for the fight seemed to have their minds made up on the fight early on, seemingly in favour of the Puerto Rican fighter although Conlan was having none of it.
Conlan posted on X: “Rewatched the #TaylorSerrano2 fight on silent, had KT 6-3 with 1 even. Close fight but not a robbery! The right person won that’s all that matters. Listening to commentary can sway the publics opinions. What a fight tho congrats to both women, another FOTY candidate!”
Serrano accused Taylor of an intentional headbutt that saw her draw blood under her eyebrow with a heavy gash.
At 38 years of age, Taylor is determined to keep boxing and a potential trilogy with Serrano could come further down the line, something that would definitely interest fans following an explosive interview with Serrano and her coach after the match where Taylor was called a “dirty” fighter.
Regardless of where Taylor goes from here, it seems Conlan’s high regard for her won't be changing anytime soon.
“Katie Taylor is the GOAT when it comes to women’s boxing, she’s changed the game for women! Got women’s boxing into the Olympics, been a trail blazer her whole career and has brought women’s pay in the pro game to a different level. Congrats champ well earned @KatieTaylor”, he posted on X.
