Arsenal's January transfer plans emerge after private meeting with Kroenkes
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta splashed out on permanent deals for David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino in the summer, but the club are set for a quieter January window
Arsenal are not expected to make any significant signings in January, it has been claimed.
The Gunners have endured a difficult start to the new Premier League campaign after losing a number of key players to injury. They headed into the international break nine points behind league leaders Liverpool in fourth place.
Mikel Arteta and co were touted by many as Manchester City 's primary challengers in the title race after pushing the champions close in successive years.
But despite their difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign, it has now emerged that they are planning to be 'reactive' rather than proactive in the winter transfer window, with no big signings currently planned.
That's according to The Sun, who outline that Arsenal's managing director, Richard Garlick, flew to the United States this week for a meeting with Stan Kroenke and his son, Josh.
Plans for next summer's transfer window were discussed, as was the search for a new sporting director following Edu's resignation earlier this month.
But with Arsenal's injury woes now seemingly clearing, it appears it will be business as usual for Arteta and co unless there are any drastic changes between now and the New Year.

The Gunners splashed out in the summer to bring David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino in on permanent deals, while Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto and Raheem Sterling also joined the club on loan shortly before the transfer deadline.
Both Calafiori and Merino have spent time on the sidelines since joining, with the former now expected to return to action shortly after the international break.
There had been question marks over whether or not Arsenal would move for a striker in January after keeping their powder dry in the summer. Primary target Benjamin Sesko opted to sign a new contract with Red Bull Leipzig, while Viktor Gyokeres - who the Gunners were heavily linked with - stayed put at Sporting Lisbon.
Gyokeres has since been touted as a potential target for Manchester United following Ruben Amorim 's switch to Old Trafford, though the former Sporting chief has vowed he will not try to sign the Sweden international from his old club in the January window.
