Rebekah Vardy jets out of UK hours after I'm A Celeb's Coleen Rooney lands in Australia
Former I'm A Celebrity campmate Rebekah Vardy has jetted out of the UK just hours after her Coleen Rooney landed in Australia for her stint on the ITV show this year
Reality TV star Rebekah Vardy has jetted off abroad this week, having left the UK just hours after Coleen Rooney touched down in Australia for her I'm A Celebrity stint.
Former campmate Rebekah has addressed claims that she was leaving the country to avoid Coleen's debut on the ITV show on social media. It was previously reported that Rebekah was "dreading" the prospect of the ' Wagatha Christie ' saga being revisited amid Coleen's time in the jungle.
A source told Mail Online : "Jamie is whisking Becky away for a week to Dubai during the I'm A Celeb launch. The last thing she wants is to turn on her TV to see Coleen and the prospect of Ant & Dec making light of their painful court case fills her with dread."
Rebekah has however dismissed these claims, as reported by OK! magazine, saying on Instagram: "Give it a rest [...] Nothing to do with it being international break!" She later jokingly shared a photo from the plane with the caption: "Fleeing the country". The comment was shared alongside a laughing and waving emojis.

The high-profile 'Wagatha Christie' trial stemmed from a 2019 social media post where Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking false stories about her private life to the press, which Rebekah denied. A judge ruled in favour of Coleen in the case in 2022.
Rebekah was a contestant on the seventeenth season of I'm a Celebrity back in 2017, two years before the scandal hit the headlines. She was the third campmate to be voted out of the jungle, finishing in ninth place. Made in Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo ultimately won that series.
Coleen has recently revealed her reasons for signing up for this year's series, despite having turned down previous offers. "It has been year after year I have been asked to go on a programme and it's always been a straight no," she explained. "Over the years there have been different things going on in my life and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time."
She added: "I also feel it is time to have a challenge for me and do something different. It has taken many, many years but I'm finally doing it. And I have always said if I was going to do one – then it would be this show. I think it will be good for me."
She will be joined in the jungle by other celebs like GK Barry, Tulisa Contostavlos, Melvin Odoom and Loose Women 's Jane Moore.
