Channel 4 Dispatches to lift the lid on the Royal Family finances and their 'secret millions'
Channel 4's Dispatches is set to cause shock waves as it vows to lift the lid on the finances and 'secret millions' of the Royal family following an investigation
Channel 4 is set to air an investigation into the finances of the Royal family - and reveal their "secret millions".
Dispatches, a current affairs documentary programme, will air the investigation on Saturday and has assured viewers it will take an in-depth look into the family's wealth, and lift the lid on who is "paying them and for what". In the trailer that was released earlier this week, Dispatches claimed the royals' wealth is allegedly "shrouded in secrecy".
It also claims to look into how much it costs the UK to "keep Charles and William rich." Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the programme's official account wrote: "For years the royals have tried to keep details of some of their wealth secret. Now Dispatches has found what they've not wanted you to know. With exclusive analysis of documents not seen in public before, we reveal who is paying them, and for what."

And the trailer said: "For years the royals' wealth has been shrouded in secrecy. Now Dispatches has discovered what they haven't told you and how much it's costing us to keep Charles and William rich. The King, the Prince, and their Secret Millions." The programme will air on November 2 at 8.10pm.
Elsewhere, it has been claimed that Prince Harry's portrayal of his brother was recently proved wrong during a documentary, following the future King's attempts to eradicate homelessness. According to a royal historian, Prince Harry's take on his brother in his memoir Spare was completely shredded after he claimed Prince William was losing his resemblance to their mother, the late Princess Diana.
The two-part documentary, titled Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, aired on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Royal expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop spoke to the Mirror in a recent interview. She said: "ITV's 'Prince William, Together We Can End Homelessness' wasn’t just moving television, it reframed the Prince of Wales as a future 'King of hearts'. In the opening of his memoir Spare, Harry insisted that William, with his 'alarming baldness', was losing his 'famous resemblance to Mummy.' It was fading apparently."
She added: "The Duke of Sussex, blinded by his own sibling-sour grapes, couldn't be more wrong. Last night, William channelled Diana. The same big-eyed stare, the same capacity to make the unseen in society feel seen, the same sincerity; as William readily owned, he had 'taken guidance from what my mother did'."
Prince William has been going through a tough time over the last few months as his wife Kate has been undergoing preventative treatment for cancer. But he is set to embark on a trip to South Africa, which royal experts say is a good sign Kate is recovering well.
Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk : "Prince William, from the earliest days of his marriage when he was based in Angelsey and then worked with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, before he took on full-time royal duties, has made it clear his family, their wellbeing and their privacy come first."
He added: "Catherine has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer, as she has so movingly told us, and though she has finished chemotherapy, she has said she still has a long way to go. However, William would undoubtedly not be going to South Africa, even though the trip is for the fourth Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, if he did not feel that she was doing well and was happy coping with the family in his absence."
He then said: "The Prize is his brainchild, but we know that they are a devoted couple and what his priorities are, and that he feels able to go is another encouraging sign that she is doing well."
