Darragh Burns quizzed on Shamrock Rovers future ahead of title-deciding night
The winger is on loan with Shamrock Rovers from MK Dons but has a decision to make on his future beyond this season
Darragh Burns intends parking all talk of his own future until after tomorrow’s title showdown.
The Dubliner has enjoyed a season-long with Shamrock Rovers, who could win a record fifth league title in-a-row on Friday night.
That loan arrangement has been extended into December due to the Hoops ongoing involvement in the Europa Conference League league phase.

But Burns is due back to MK Dons after that, where his deal - having joined from St Pat’s - expires in June, although the club has the option of extending it for a year.
Burns said today: “I don’t know where I’m going to be next year to be honest. I still have a contract at MK. I’ll just look after tonight and the rest of the European campaign and then look forward to next year.
“I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. I’m sure when I sit down with my representatives, my mam, my da, I’ll make the right decision. This stage of the season it doesn’t really matter about me, it’s about getting over the line.”

Burns, who has scored five goals for the Hoops this season, would love to clinch the title at Tallaght Stadium tomorrow. Rovers will be champions again if they beat Waterford and Shelbourne drop points away to Derry City.
Burns added: “We know we’ve a job to do and if we don’t do that we definitely won’t win the league. It’s just another game of 90 minutes, 95 minutes, we have to be on it.”
