Eamonn Holmes drags enemies Holly Willougby and Phillip Schofield into Katya Jones Strictly scandal
Eamonn Holmes couldn't resist a dig at former This Morning co-stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby as he commented on the latest Strictly scandal with Katya Jones and Wynne Evans
Eamonn Holmes took the chance to slate Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield once more amid the latest Strictly Come Dancing scandal.
At the weekend, Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans was caught moving his hand further around dance partner Katya Jones' waist before she quickly stopped the advance. The scenes disturbed viewers at home, but have since been cleared up by the pairing as a "very silly inside joke".
However, Eamonn, 64, used the situation to continue his war of words with former co-presenter on This Morning Phillip Schofield. During Monday morning's GB News, the veteran Northern Irish presenter was speaking with co-host Isabel Webster. The duo were discussing Wynne and Katya's controversial moments when Eamonn took aim at Phillip and Holly, as well as the BBC.

While discussing Katya's apology video, which some followers called "inappropriate", Eamonn said: "[Katya's] showing she's in control. The BBC is out of control of course. Anything at all that happens, they will interrupt and apologise because they listen too much to what people have to say at home, which you should just ignore.
"However, having said that all the talk with contestants and dancers is that is a hot house of passion in there and always has been. And when you look at how intimate you would actually get, touching, feeling and whatever else you do. The Strictly curse definitely is a thing. So it ain't going to go away.'
He went on to point at co-host Isabel and claim they made sure their relationship was not intimate, before claiming most breakfast presenters "hate" each other.
Eamonn added: "You take the comparison of being closer to a partner, in my case having a TV wife here [Isabel]. That's why we strictly apply a sort of turgid relationship and have nothing intimate or nice between us.
"When you look at all those breakfast presenters and you can go through and say he hates her, she hates him, and they do. And I used to say it about Phil and Holly but nobody would believe me. False, false, false."
The latest comments come as those close to Phillip lifted the lid on the star’s bitter feud with Eamonn. An insider told the Mirror last week Eamonn’s animosity is because he is “consumed with jealousy that Friday rated poorly compared to the rest of the week.” Schofield’s friend went on to say this was the main reason why he was let go by the ITV show, in 2021. “It was simply down to ratings,” the friend claimed.
The source added Eamonn was also upset that Schofield hadn't been in touch after he was let go by ITV. They said: "The truth is that Phillip wishes he did message him but bigger things were happening in his life and stroking his ego wasn’t one of them."
