A Bus Éireann bus en route to Limerick veered off the road and struck a ditch on Sunday evening, leaving the passengers to finish their journey in a replacement vehicle.

Gardaí and emergency vehicles, including multiple ambulances and a fire brigade, rushed to the scene after the 3:40pm bus from Waterford to Limerick veered off the road on the N24 at Longford Bridge near Tipperary town shortly after 5:30pm.

Thankfully there were no injuries reported after all passengers were medically assessed, with passengers, some of whom were college students returning for the week, continuing their journey in a replacement vehicle.
