An Irish version of The Traitors is coming to RTE - and the winner can bag themselves a huge jackpot
RTE is looking for applicants for the first Irish version of the hit UK show.
RTE has announced it is set to create an Irish version of global hit reality television series, The Traitors.
The reality TV programme will see a group of contestants split into "traitors" and "faithfuls" as both groups try to win a share of up to €50,000 in what the BBC calls "the ultimate reality game of detection, backstabbing and trust".
The season two final that aired in January in the UK saw a peak audience of 6.9 million tune in.

And now Dublin-based production company Kite Entertainment and RTE are bringing the show to Ireland following its major success in the UK, the US, and its original home of the Netherlands. Claudia Winkleman hosts the UK edition, while Alan Cumming helms the Emmy Award-winning US version.
RTE’s Commissioning Editor for Documentaries and Series Grainne McAleer said: "We’re confident that Traitors Ireland will be just as thrilling. We’re looking for dynamic contestants who can outwit, out-schmooze, and outplay the others."
Kite Entertainment’s Managing Director Darren Smith added: "We’ve been fans of the original Dutch format and are thrilled to bring it to Irish screens. Now, we’re on the hunt for the perfect castle, cast, and host!"
RTE and Kite Entertainment are now seeking participants for the series which will be shot on location in Ireland and broadcast on RTE One and the RTE Player in 2025. Participants must be over 18 and available in Spring 2025.
Potential Irish Traitors can see www.rte.ie/traitors for further details on how to apply to feature on the show.
