Mrs Doubtfire is by far one of a few films that will continue to entertain generations to come.

The late Robin Williams, was only 63 at his time of death in 2014 and had a career spanning decades. But one role he will always be remembered for is that of playing Mrs Doubtfire, the Scottish nanny. The 1993 film is centred around Daniel Hillard, who had hit hard times, embarked on an elaborate plan to spend more time with his children by undertaking the disguise of Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire.

The film was an immediate success, which further cemented Robin's position within Hollywood as one the world's leading actors. The movie starred a host of well known names including Sally Field, who played his estranged wife Miranda and Pierce Brosnan, who took on the role of Stu. Stu tried to strike up a relationship with Miranda - but Daniel was quick to scupper his plans at every turn. So 30 years on where are the cast of the legendary film? Here we take a look at all the stars and what they have been up to since the film's release.

ROBIN WILLIAMS

Robin convincingly played two characters, Daniel Hillard and Mrs Doubtfire, but the two couldn't have been more different. Speaking about his role at the time, Robin once said: "I started to play with the voice. It was so freeing to be able to be someone totally different."

Since the success of the film he was regularly seen in blockbuster films including Jumanji, The Birdcage, Good Will Hunting. But his seemingly perfect life came crashing down after he was found dead at his home in Paradise Cay in California.

And it was claimed that he had committed suicide. Robin left behind his third wife Susan Schneider Williams and three children.

SALLY FIELD

The legendary actress played Daniel's ex wife Mirand Hillard who attempted to move on from her ex by dating her handsome co-worker, Stu. Since the success of the film, Sally earned herself an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Lincoln, in 2012.

During the course of her career she has reportedly won two awards and has been nominated three times. Her other films include Forest Gump, alongside Tom Hanks and Where The Heart Is. By 2018, she wrote her first memoir titled, In Pieces. Sally is a mum of two, Peter and Eli who she shares with her ex husband Steven Craig. She went on to marry again and had a third son called Sam with Alan Greisman.

MARA WILSON

Mara was only a child when she landed the role as Natalie, the youngest of Daniel and Miranda's children. She then went on to star in Matilda in 1996. Mara went on to take a break from acting which lasted 12 years and returned to the screen in 2012. S

he starred in a series of productions including Broad City, BoJack Horseman and Big Hero 6: The Series. She is also an author and wrote her memoir Where Am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame, in 2016.

LISA JAKUB

Lisa played Lydia Hillard, who was the eldest and troubled daughter of Daniel and Miranda. She enjoyed a glittering career until the year 2000 and her last known film was Double Frame.

In 2018, Lisa shared a reunion snap of her and members of the cast to mark 25 years. Lisa is now a writer and yoga instructor. In 2021, she created a mental wellness website called Blue Mala.

MATTHEW LAWRENCE

Matthew starred as Chris, who was the middle child. Since the film's release he found success once again in a TV comedy series called Blossom and Brotherly Love. He also played Jack Hunter on Boy Meets World.

Matthew married Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Cheryl Burke in 2019 but the couple soon split. Cheryl filed for divorce in 2022. He was then romantically linked to Chilli from the pop group TLC.

PIERCE BROSNAN

Pierce played Stu who desperately attempted start a relationship with Miranda but was regularly blocked by Daniel, under the guise of Mrs Doubtfire. Pierce soared even higher within his career as he starred as James Bond in Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day between 1995 and 2002.

He then went on to star alongside Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia! among a host of other productions.

HARVEY FIERSTEIN

Harvey played the straight talking brother Frank, who helps Daniel transform into Mrs Doubtfire due to his skills as a make-up artist. Since then, Harvey went on to land roles in films including Independence Day, Duplex and the production of Hairspray Live! He has also done voiceover work for animated shows such as Family Guy and Big Mouth. Harvey is a four time Tony Award winner. He has also written books for the stage musicals Newsies, Kinky Boots and A Catered Affair

Two years ago, he spoke about his gender identity during an interview with People. He said; "I'm still confused as to whether I'm a man or a woman. I don't know who I am. You wanna tell me who I am? But let's put it this way ... I don't think I've missed anything by not making up my mind."
