Ireland legend Roy Keane has hilariously starred along 'himself' in a new advert.

The Corkman has arguably become a more popular figure in his retirement than he was during his illustrious playing career.

And the 53-year-old doesn't mind making fun of himself including his perceived cranky demeanour.

In an advertisement for Sky Mobile, Keane has reenacted his famous confrontation with a reporter whose phone went off during a press conference for Ipswich Town, whom Keane was managing at the time.

But this time around Keane is the one in the crowd when his phone starts to ring, irking a version of himself played by Irish impressionist Conor Moore.

In the hilarious skit, Keane even gets called a "baby", echoing what the legendary midfielder called Liverpool's Andy Robertson last year.

Keane has been working as a pundit for a number of years, with his last coaching role being at Nottingam Forest in 2019.

But the former Manchester United captain has never hidden his desire to return to management.

This summer, Keane admitted that he would love the opportunity to manage his country having served as assistant boss under Martin O'Neill.

"I did enjoy the international set-up when I was working with Martin as a coach. I like the dynamics, the flow of international football.

"It wasn't 24 hours a day, but you're still working at a good level, so if you're on about dream jobs, I suppose - it's a bit silly saying it, but maybe the Irish job.

"But obviously I think that ship has sailed as well."
