This Morning icon Alison Hammond recently candidly confessed that she was 'really dying' when she was at her heaviest at 28 stone.

The TV presenter, 49, lost 11 stone after she decided to change her lifestyle. The change didn't come without hard work, including a gruelling workout routine and a change in her diet. In a recent post shared on Instagram, Alison shared a glimpse into her tiring exercise routine, which includes weightlifting and boxing.

Her personal trainer shared the compilation video on his own page before Alison reposted it on her Stories. The video showed her lifting weights, boxing, and using kettlebells and medicine balls. The original caption read: "The Queen in today, short on time so quick 45-minute circuit and done!"

Last week, the TV presenter detailed her 'embarrassment' after being forced to buy two plane tickets on her travels before she lost weight. She took on hosting duties alongside co-star Dermot O'Leary and during one segment, the duo had a debate on whether overweight passengers should buy two plane tickets.

Joined by Tom Swarbrick and Gyles Brandreth, Alison took the opportunity to open up about her struggles as she admitted that she previously had to buy two plane tickets before she lost weight after feeling ‘embarrassed’ on her travels. Alison confessed that she weighed almost 28 stone and was forced to make a lifestyle change.

She went on to say: “I was nearly 28 stone, I’ll be honest with you and that is morbidly obese and I used to buy an extra seat because I didn’t want to put anyone in a situation where I was touching them.” Reflecting on one particular moment, Alison continued: “I was made to feel uncomfortable on one occasion when I was so close to someone's seat and they asked to move but they ended up moving me into first class.

“It was embarrassing, the whole thing, and from that moment I just started buying two seats. I don’t do it anymore because I’ve lost a bit of timber but not everyone can afford to do that.” During the debate, Alison said she "was in a situation where I was morbidly obese".

The star added: "I had to lose weight because I was dying, I really was dying. People will still say I’m big but now I’m 17 stone rather than 28 stone and I’m comfortable with telling you my weight.”
