Oasis are reportedly hoping they can get a Beatles star's son to join the band as they make their 2025 comeback.

Liam and Noel Gallagher ended their decades long feud to reunite the Britpop band for a series of shows next year. They have already sold out 17 dates across the UK and Ireland as they added two more dates for London's Wembley Stadium. Oasis are also eyeing up tour dates across the US following their summer comeback.

While Liam and Noel are both confirmed to be part of the band once more, many are wondering who else will join the famous brothers. They are hoping to sign Andy Bell to play bass in the reformed band. He is currently on tour with his band Ride, but he played bass in Oasis from 1999 until their breakup in 2009. He then was involved in Liam's band Beady Eye until their breakup in 2014 and supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds on tour in 2013.

Liam and Noel are hoping to bring back Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on guitar as well as Gem Archer. However, they are also reportedly keen for Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey to join them on the drums. “Noel and Liam are slowly putting Oasis back together and they’re hoping to get Zak on board for drums," a source told the Sun.

They added: “Alan White, who was the drummer with Oasis until 2004, isn’t returning. Zak was probably the best live drummer Oasis ever had and to get him back on board would be amazing.” While a source close to the Gallaghers told the Mirror the line up is "taking shape nicely".

They told us: "Andy would be the perfect choice for the Oasis reunion. He played with them for a decade and is still used to touring so could just continue where he left off. Both Noel and Liam are friends with him which is pretty crucial and he knows Gem from the band too.

"Contracts are being drawn up so no one has officially signed just yet but the line up is taking shape nicely. Most Oasis fans will be happy that all the band members are people they remember watching on stage in their youth." Bonehead is a founding member of Oasis and close friends with Liam and Noel, credited with trying to reconcile them.

Gem is not an original Oasis band member, but he joined the group in 1999 and played for a decade alongside the Gallaghers before Noel quit the band in 2009. Rehearsals for the tour are not expected to start for months. Amid the excitement, many fans missed out on tickets to the shows which are expected to be some of the most in demand in music history.

As fans attempted to get tickets last weekend, thousands were declared bots, waited hours in online queues or were met with dynamic pricing models that saw prices almost double. The band was keen to stress that it had no input in the controversial price hikes and confirmed they will play Wembley again with tickets going on sale by using a lottery system. They revealed eligible fans will be sent invitations to a "private ballot".

Despite the news more fans will be able to try for tickets, many slammed the band for implementing the system which will be using Ticketmaster again. When tickets orignally went on sale, the band also used See Tickets and Gigs and Tours. Ticketmaster now faces a Competition and Markets Authority probe into whether it broke consumer protection law.
