Gardaí have launched a search appeal for a young Roscommon teenager who was last seen in Leitrim a number of days ago.

14-year-old Kealan Burns was reported missing from Castlerea, County Roscommon on Tuesday, September 3.

Kealan was last seen in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim on Tuesday evening, shortly before 8pm. Kealan is known to frequent the Longford town area.

Kealan is described as being approximately five foot six inches in height, with a slight build. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen, Kealan was wearing a black Canada Goose jacket, an orange t-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms. Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information on Kealan’s whereabouts to contact authorities.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 14-year-old Kealan Burns, who was reported missing from Castlerea, County Roscommon on Tuesday, 3 September.”

They added: “Anyone with information in relation to Kealan's whereabouts is asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station on 071 965 0510, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
