Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers meet this morning as they renew their age-old rivalry but it has been a season to forget for both sides.

The five-in-a-row chasing Shamrock Rovers currently sit in sixth place, some 13 points behind leaders Shelbourne and some patchy recent form has dented any serious title challenge.

Bohemians have been dragged into a relegation battle alongside Drogheda and Dundalk, sitting just five points off bottom, and have not won a league game since their 3-0 win against Sligo back in May.

However, both sides have two games in hand and a win would be a big boost to their league position. Shamrock Rovers could climb up to fourth with a win today and with a further game in hand could go into third place.

If Bohemians were to win their games in hand they would climb above Stephen Kenny's St Pat's and all but secure safety.

Today's game takes place at Dalymount Park with kick-off set for 11.30 am.

With Coldplay playing at Croke Park on Sunday night, police resources in the capital are stretched, forcing the Dublin derby to kick off before noon.

The game is available to purchase on Watch LOI for €7.

We will have live updates of the game live from Dalymount Park right here so make sure to stay tuned to all the coverage.

The teams are out!

The teams for this morning's big Dublin derby are out.
