Liam and Noel Gallagher haven't shied away from throwing insults over the years, yet they have an older brother who has remained on track with both of them.

The Oasis stars have been in the spotlight for decades - with everything from their music to love lives, children and now upcoming reunion making headlines. However, as the Liam and Noel feud rumbled on many fans didn't realise they have another sibling. Paul Gallagher keeps out of the spotlight, but has a close bond with them both.

He grew up with his famous siblings in Manchester and as the eldest, he had his own room while Liam and Noel shared. Their mum Peggy raised Liam and Noel along with their older brother Paul on her own after leaving violent dad Tommy. In recent years, Paul has been seen out with youngest brother Liam.

The pair have always been close – and enjoyed a markedly less volatile relationship than Liam did with brother Noel. While the warring younger siblings had a number of very public fallouts since Oasis split in 2009, Paul has managed to keep on an even track with both of them.

He revealed in a recent interview: “I speak to the pair of them. I see Liam every other day." Speaking last year on the Michael Anthony Show podcast, Paul opened up on being siblings to Liam and Noel. He admitted: "I do my own thing, I stay away from it as much as humanely possible.

"Yeah f**king annoying. How many years has it been now, 30? How many times can you say [inaudible noise], its excruciating." He revealed fans do recognise who he is and ask about Liam and Noel reuniting. Paul added: "When you are out in the pub, the first thing is a 'hello' they acknowledge me and the second things is '[inaudible noise]' it's like 'when are you going to ask them'. You know what I mean. Why are you asking me for?

"I get it. There's no stars in this country. There happens to be two in my family. I get it, but it doesn't mean I want to talk about to the d***head at the bus stop. I don't care I just like to float around invisible." Paul was asked if he ever reigned in Liam or Noel during their fame as he admitted: "No because they don't care. I don't care what they do and they don't care what I do, unless I overstep the mark and then they are always on our case." In response to being in their shadow, Paul quipped: "It is and it isn't. I don't care, that's why I come across as sometimes rude."

Paul, who works as a DJ, was also named as Liam's best man in his upcoming wedding to fiancée Debbie Gwyther. Speaking to the Mirror following their engagement, Liam said: "My mam gets on really well with Debbie. She’s always been there. Every mum has their son’s back, but she’s given me a b*****king many times.

"She says, ‘Look, you’re a bit of a d***’, with the way I have treated people. She’s not all pro Liam.” Liam added: “She thinks Noel needs a f***ing clip. She says we’re as bad as each other, but she knows I’ve put olive branches out. He doesn’t really speak to her either, he doesn’t speak to Paul. It’s not a band thing. All of this stuff about us not speaking because of the band, it’s nothing to do with that. He obviously thinks he’s cooler or better than us. But that would be hard because we are f***ing brilliant."
