Oasis had fans jumping with joy when they finally announced their reunion tour after 15 years of feuding.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher teased the announcement on Sunday night and revealed the exciting news on Tuesday morning. The Oasis reunion will begin with 14 UK dates next year, their first live shows for 16 years, with tickets going on sale on Saturday morning.

Along with a lengthy video of them performing over the years, Oasis put out a new photo of themselves posing for a black-and-white photo to go with their new reunion tour dates. The photo sees Liam looking like he's "on the brink of picking an argument with the photographer".

Body language expert Judi James explained that the snap showcased Liam as the 'eternal rebel' and Noel as 'more easy-going'. She told The Mirror : "This striking monochrome photo exudes a similar ‘edgy sibling’ vibe from the body language as Bailey’s famous 1965 photo of Ronnie and Reggie. It highlights the two distinctively different personalities, with Liam the eternal rebel while Noel presents a more easy-going look but with some mirrored nods to Liam’s projection of toughness.

"The uncompromising stares into the cameras and the way Liam in particular looks on the brink of picking an argument with the photographer, with his challenging gaze straight into the lens, accompanied by a questioning head tilt, with the slight frown and the jutting lower lip, all add to the sense that the pair are keen to be seen as rebellious as ever."

Speaking about how they're standing, Judi added: "Liam is straight onto the camera here with his legs splayed and his hands stuffed into his pockets, making him look like the bigger star. Noel’s sideways-on pose with his torso turned to his brother makes him look more like the mediator here. His frown might be deeper but he looks less angry and maybe more mature."

Judi referred to many fans' concerns that they were photoshopped together for the snap and said: "Their poses do combine to make a compelling and artistic-looking construction. After their long separation, it’s easy to understand why fans might be speculating they were photographed apart for this pic and photo-shopped together, mainly because it’s hard to imagine them standing this close, adopting contrasting poses with a degree of dominance from Liam without a new spat breaking out."

Oasis
They haven't performed together since 2009

Some fans have felt it was unclear if Liam and Noel had posed together or if the image was a merging of two photos. However, a source close to the Gallaghers recently confirmed they had posed for photos together. The insider told The Mirror: "I know it looks like it could be photoshopped but they were both there and they have met up. They were laughing and joking. It was great to see after all the years apart."

Fans can purchase tickets on Saturday morning

The iconic band will play four dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park and another four at London’s Wembley Stadium. Over in Ireland, they’ll delight punters at Croke Park next August.
