It started with cryptic clues - there had been many false dawns before so many music fans were pessimistic... but it's happening. Oasis are reforming and going back on tour.

The official announcement sent excitement levels supersonic. Many are today dusting off their Oasis CDs or even their vinyl albums and giving them a spin.

But - of course - Oasis are just one band to emerge from that famous Britpop era. Blur also instantly come to mind - and the two bands were great rivals.

Plus there were many more - who never really went away... Pulp, for example, are still regular visitors to Ireland So the question is, what band is the greatest of all of them? Is it an easy win for Oasis? Will Blur make a comeback of their own? Or is it time for a support act to shine?
