Coronation Street star rushed to hospital as he thanks NHS staff for looking after him
The 17-year-old actor took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank the NHS staff for looking after him during his stint in hospital - with fans flooding his social media accounts with support and well-wishes.
Coronation Street star Liam Mccheyne, who plays Sean Tully's son Dylan Wilson, has revealed he spent the last two days in hospital as he shared a health update with his fans on social media on Sunday.
The 17-year-old actor took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank the NHS staff for looking after him. He wrote: "Morning shout out to our amazing NHS. Especially all those at the Royal Oldham who took superb care of me over the past two days. What a mess we would be in without them."
The teenager is yet to disclose the reason for the two-day stint in hospital but following the star’s post, fans came out in their droves to send him their well-wishes. One fan wrote: "Wishing you a speedy recovery!" while another wrote: "Hope you’re ok Liam, and back to normal fitness ASAP. And hope the rest of your family are well. Wishing you all a good week."

Liam first arrived on the cobbles in 2011 and originally shared the role with his twin brother, Connor. Dylan returned to the ITV soap - which airs on Virgin Media in Ireland - in 2022, but Connor decided leave showbiz behind to embark on a career as a professional cricketer instead, so Liam reprised the role of Dylan.
Fans will know Dylan has had a turbulent time since returning to the cobbles and has been part of the brutal storyline that saw soap bully Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) making Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) life hell.
Earlier this year, Anthony revealed that he simply “adores” Liam portraying his character’s on-screen son. He told Express.co.uk : “It's been wonderful, not harrowing at all. I've loved and known him and his twin brother since they were babes in arms.
"It's been lovely to have the twins in my life and Liam is back. Connor doesn't do the job anymore but Liam does it on his own. It's special to me. Are we like a big family? Absolutely. We have to be. We're in together all day every day, so you just have to get on with it!”
Liam often shares snaps from his family life away from the soap. He shared a sweet throwback photo on Instagram to celebrate Father's Day in June.
He captioned the picture: "Wishing a Happy Father's Day to all Dads. Whether they are with us or not or if we don't see them as much as we'd like. Today is a day of appreciation. I have had the privilege of having two dads. One off screen and one on.
"Both have impacted my life substantially, and both played a massive part in two very different aspects of my life. Therefore, I thank my off-screen dad and my on-screen dad." tagging Sean Tully actor Anthony Cotton in the post.
