Taylor Swift has met with some of the children injured in the Southport stabbings. The pop superstar hosted victims and their loved ones at Wembley Stadium, where she is performing her Eras Tour, over the weekend.

Mums screamed in horror after several young girls were brutally attacked by a knifeman during a Taylor Swift-themed dance party in Southport on July 29, claiming the lives of three innocent children. The youngest was six-year-old Bebe King, who died along with seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine. Six other children were left in a critical condition.

As the Cruel Summer hitmaker returned to Wembley for more sold out shows, the pop superstar met with some of the young survivors and their families before the concert.

It is believed that Swift reached out to the victims' families in private before she made her first UK Eras Tour appearance since the horrific death of the three children. Around 25 youngsters were believed to have been taking part in the event when the horror unfolded last month at the hypnobirthing centre, which runs kids clubs during the holidays allowing children to take part in dance and craft classes.

Writing on social media the day after the horrific attack took place, the American singer paid tribute to those caught up in the mindless violence. She said: "The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I'm just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families."

It comes after security was increased at Wembley Stadium amid a foiled terror plot in Vienna, Austria. It has been confirmed that for all of Taylor's London dates there will be stewards checking in and around the area to make sure that only those with tickets attend whilst non-ticket holders will be asked to move on if they gather anywhere around the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium or any entrances.

Other rules given to concertgoers include only an A4 sized bag, no face coverings unless for religious or medical reasons, whilst chains and studded jewellery as well as hard plastic is banned from being taken into the stadium.
