Leinster, who were opening the defence of their inter-provincial title, crossed for eight tries against Connacht at Energia Park.
The Blues were clearly ready for the challenge possibly mindful of having lost this fixture last season and took the game to the visitors from the off.
There were first-half tries from winger Ella Roberts, out-half Nikki Caughey, scrum-half Katie Whelan, centre Aoife Dalton and full-back Emma Tilly.

The 26-7 half-time scoreline was added to almost immediately following the restart when no8 Caoimhe Molloy powered over and it looked like the game was over as a contest.
However Connacht were still willing to take the game to the home side and they dominated play, camped in the opposition half for large periods of the second-half, and there was reward in scoring two tries.
However, a second try from Whelan after 75 minutes preceded a last Connacht score in the corner to leave a 19-point gap on the scoreboard.
Leinster's Katie Whelan picked up the Vodafone player-of-the-match award.
