Stephen Mulhern's part in 'saving' Emma and Matt Willis' marriage after devastating first wedding

Stephen Mulhern played a huge part in making sure Love Is Blind UK hosts Emma and Matt Willis had the wedding they always wanted.
Busted singer Matt, 39, and presenter Emma, 47, got married at Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire in the summer of 2008. Despite the happy day with the likes of Holly Willoughby and Jason Donovan in attendance, Matt previously revealed it wasn't considered the 'dream' occasion.
He also once opened up about how Emma was left "devastated" after the wedding day. He was overwhelmed as the wedding was held three days after he got out of rehab. He said: "I was gripping my chair for dear life. I didn’t really have the time that people probably dream of on their wedding day so we got to renew our vows after 10 years."

People were enjoying champagne and the guests were also served shots of sambuca as their wedding favour, which was a detail Matt organised before he went to rehab for his drug and alcohol addictions. However, he forgot he chose giving out shots as the wedding favour.
He explained: "We also gave everybody a little shot of sambuca as their table thing. I was like, ‘Oh God I forgot about that.' I organised that one!" Thankfully, they got to renew their wedding vows a decade later, with Stephen Mulhern being a huge part of the entire thing.
The couple went back to the same venue and Emma wore the same wedding dress for the vow renewals while Matt "absorbed every second of it." This time around, Matt got his close friend Stephen to conduct the ceremony. Matt told OK! last year: "Stephen Mulhern married us, you could probably sense the tone of the wedding."
Matt and Emma have been open about the ups and downs of their relationship. The Busted star has been to rehab four times in total, most recently relapsing in 2016 on the Busted reunion tour when his youngest child was only 10 months old. Hiding the relapse, which came after eight years of sobriety, Matt was secretly taking six grams of cocaine on his own every day.
However, Emma made it clear how committed to their marriage she is, and how deeply she loves Matt. "As hard and as bad as that can be and has been, it also is part of who he is and who he is I love." She also said: "It's very easy to look in on a situation that you're not directly involved in and go: 'F*** that, get out of that', but when you're in it, you have that history together… and if you love someone you're not going anywhere.
"It's not easy. Sometimes I feel like I've got four kids instead of three. There's been a lot of joy, but equally, it's been incredibly heavy at times."
