New video footage has emerged showing Khabib Nurmagomedov spitting on Conor McGregor after their 2018 UFC fight.

Despite the win, the Russian wasn’t happy with simply beating McGregor. Nurmagomedov ended up launching himself at McGregor's team, sparking a giant brawl in the octagon which saw both fighters fined.

Years on, new footage has now been released, which lays bare just how pumped up Nurmagomedov was and shows his hatred for McGregor. The footage has the commentary muted and contains subtitles to detail to the foul-mouthed taunts he used, while also showing that he spat at his defeated opponent.
In the video, Nurmagomedov can be seen taunting McGregor while he has him pinned to the ground. He asks him “what happened?” and says “let’s talk now” as he smashes him in the face. Nurmagomedov’s entourage, which includes his brother Islam, can be seen shouting “kill him!” while also suggesting that he breaks his arm.

Nurmagomedov calls McGregor a "b****" during the final moments before the referee stepped in to stop the fight. And just after referee Herb Dean declared the fight over, Nurmagomedov spat as he was getting off his opponent. He then shouted: "B****. I f***** you up! I f***** you up b****!”
More chaos followed after the fight, with Nurmagomedov sparking a mass brawl by scaling the octagon and jumping onto McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis. McGregor fought with Abubakar Nurmagomedov, his opponent’s cousin and a lightweight fighter in the PFL, and Zubaira Tukhugov.
Nurmagomedov was fined $500,000, while McGregor was docked $50,000 by the UFC for his part in the brawl. Nurmagomedov decided to retire two years after beating McGregor, with UFC boss Dana White failing to convince 'The Eagle' to continue in the hope of a rematch with the Irishman.
While they have never stepped back into the octagon for a rematch, the two have continued to spar on social media. In April 2023, Nurmagomedov goaded McGregor by leaving him out of his list of the best fighters of all time. McGregor quickly hit back by quoting the tweet and writing: "In the end it's who's left. Don't forget. God bless Tidl Sports Science."
