Doctor Hilary Jones has enjoyed a long-spanning medical career which saw him become a pin-up TV doctor on our screens.

But they say behind every great man is a great woman - and that seems to be the case for the telly doctor.

Dr Hilary, 71, and Dee Thresher, 53, met in 2008, and started dating that summer following his split from his wife of 18 years, Sarah Harvey.

But before finding happiness with fitness instructor Dee, Dr Hilary went through two failed marriages.

His first marriage to Anne Marie Vives crumbled in 1987 - 10 years after tying the knot.

He tried again at love with ex Sarah Harvey, as the pair got hitched in 1990. But despite a long 18 years together, the pair went their separate ways in 2009.

Just months later, Hilary and Dee began their love journey together.

Dee was the GMTV fitness expert while Dr Hilary was giving medical advice when they first met in 2008.

According to Dee they met on a GMTV set in Spain while filming a healthy living segment, and ended up tying the knot in 2016.

Personal trainer Dee has worked with many celebrities over the years.

In the early 2000s she even helped design the workouts featured in many celebrity workout DVDs - which included the likes of Natalie Cassidy, Letitia Dean and Charlie Brooks.

Dubbed the "Silver Fox Doc", Dr Hilary is a proud dad to four sons and a daughter, who stay out of the spotlight.

And while Hilary and Dee don't have any children together, they share a pooch and two cats instead.

The pair have both appeared on our screens

Dr Hilary has been a regular figure on breakfast TV since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, with many relying on his expert opinions and advice throughout this unprecedented time.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain and then with Lorraine Kelly afterwards, he has tried to bring some calm advice and influence to the Covid-19 spread.

Dr Hilary qualified as a doctor at the Royal Free Hospital, North West London, in 1976, and he became doctor on TV-AM in 1989.

He has gained the trust of the viewers, who have applauded him for locking horns with Piers Morgan as they discuss the latest news about the killer virus.

Dee told The Sun : "I love that people are admiring his looks. Good for him. He’s 67 and still turning heads."

Dee has been gushing in her praise of the good doctor, saying: "Of course I think he’s very attractive and he’s such a lovely man. He is charming and caring.

"I admit I tease him about it. He just rolls his eyes and gets straight back to work."
