Cheryl couldn't help but bring up an iconic moment that occurred with her Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle while live on stage in Belfast.

The star, Nadine, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts reunited after 11 years for their comeback tour and performed in Belfast on Monday evening. While introducing herself to the excited audience, Cheryl made a quick joke about one of Nadine's most iconic moments - which was when the singer lied about her date of birth.

She referred to the moment Nadine, now 38, lied about being older than she was in order to get into Irish Popstars in 2001. Nadine was only 16 when she entered the show, but the rules stated that contestants had to be 18 years old or older to take part in the programme.

"I’m Nadine Coyle. I’m from Lark Hill in Derry. Date of birth 15th of the sixth 1985, making me a Gemini,” she told the camera. “And… what date of birth did I say there?" Nadine said at the time. She was asked to provide a passport as proof of her age, but she suddenly couldn't find her documentation and had to leave the show.

During the live show on Monday, Cheryl joked about the moment and told the crowd: “We had to come to Ireland anyway… Do you know why? To make sure Nadine remembered her passport." It comes after Cheryl joked about her wardrobe malfunction during one of the group's concerts in Dublin.

A performance had them standing on platforms while rocking lengthy red skirts. It was understood that the skirts were meant to inflate during the performance, referencing scenes from the Sexy! No No No music video. The footage , believed to be from the concert that was held on Saturday, however, shows Cheryl performing in an uninflated skirt on stage at the venue. Her bandmates are seen beside her sporting enlarged skirts which have instead inflated.

One video was shared on TikTok. Joking about Cheryl's dress not having inflated at the show on the weekend, they wrote in the caption: "Justice for Cheryl's inflatable skirt." Audio from an episode of the docuseries Girls Aloud: Off the Record was used alongside the clip from the tour.

It came from a scene in which Cheryl questioned stylist Lauren Jones over her outfit for an event, saying that she'd been told to wear her "own clothes" whilst her bandmates had outfits from the wardrobe department.

She said: "No, all I'm saying is - everybody else is dressed to the nines and I look like a tramp!" Lauren then tells her: "You don't look like a tramp, babe." Cheryl asks: "Well why did we not all just get dressed from the wardrobe?"

Cheryl loved the video and shared it on her Instagram Stories, writing the caption: "The internet remains undefeated."
