This year’s Sziget Festival will feature a diverse line-up, with headliners including the “eternal queen of pop” Kylie Minogue on day one, one of the most versatile artists of her generation Halsey, and Liam Gallagher, who will be performing his debut album with Oasis. Saturday will see superstar DJ Martin Garrix, known for his huge shows, Sunday’s headliner is contemporary pop’s most unique voice, Sam Smith, and the final day will see the most celebrated producer of modern electronic pop music, Fred again…

This year, there will also be unique performances by Hungarian artists, including Beton.Hofi, Margaret Island, and Azahriah, who will take to the stage on Thursday, before Halsey, writes Világgazdaság.

Sziget Festival, with a capacity of 95,000 people a day, attracts guests from more than 100 countries, and will feature performances from 54 countries in 52 venues, with a total of around 600 acts over the 6 days.

The event will feature 200 concerts and performances, many from the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands, 29 from the US, as well as performances from Senegal, India, Tanzania, New Zealand and Benin in Africa.

To help make the customer experience even smoother and more guest-centered, a new “Welcome Zone” has been created for the guests. This year’s improvements are aimed at dealing with problems more efficiently, but also to increase the comfort and safety of visitors. To this end, “help zones” have been set up at the festival, where people in need can find a calm environment and professional assistance.

Keeping and improving on last year’s developments, the event will offer a varied range of catering, amenities and “budget-friendly” meals. Food will continue to be served in food courts, in a similar layout to last year, so that everyone can find something to their liking.

The selection will include both Hungarian and international dishes.

Food courts must have at least one so-called “wallet-friendly” meal, which the organizers have agreed with the caterers in advance and will keep a constant check on the offer. This year, environmental awareness is again a key aspect of catering. Contracted partners will be allowed to use only paper or environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials instead of plastic bags, disposable plates, cutlery and other packaging materials. In 2024, caterers will be inspected according to a stricter set of criteria than last year.

Another innovation this year is the addition of drinking water points in the food courts to the previous drinking water centers.

Furthermore, one day before the start of the event, the drinks menu for the 2024 Sziget Festival has been leaked on Reddit. It should be noted however, that these are not the official, recognized prices yet.
