Celebrating Innovation and Advancing Technology
Out of hundreds of participants, 36 companies emerged as award winners, chosen for their innovative approaches in technology, business viability, and commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Nine companies received the prestigious Grand Innovation Award, while 27 companies earned the Innovation Award. Winners included industry pioneers such as HEI, OKSAN, AETECH, and Phantomics Inc., representing advancements in EV battery health prediction, AI-driven pedestrian safety, robotic recycling, and AI-based diagnosis solutions.
Special honors were granted under various prestigious titles: the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Awardand the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award were given to leaders in future mobility, while the Daegu Metropolitan Mayor Award and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Chairman’s Award recognized trailblazers in ABB and robotics. The selected companies are set to benefit from a range of support, including consulting, investment opportunities, and significant promotion through domestic and international media channels.
Driving Global Recognition Through FIX’s ‘Global Media Pick Top 3 Awards’
Adding to the momentum, FIX 2024 introduced the Global Media Pick Top 3 Awards on October 24th. This initiative honored 33 innovative companies chosen by 11 prominent international media outlets, underscoring the global interest in Korea’s technology landscape. Media representatives from countries including the U.S., Japan, and Spain highlighted standout companies like MORAI, YOUNG HYUN Robotics, and Biolink, among others.
Reflecting on this event, Miriam McNabb from the U.S.-based Dronelife stated, “It was a challenge to pick just three top companies among such innovation.” Juan Castromil of Spain’s Clipset echoed the sentiment, praising FIX 2024 for its exceptional lineup of tech advancements. Local Korean companies were notably featured, highlighting FIX 2024’s role in elevating Daegu-Gyeongbuk’s presence on the global tech stage.
At the Global Media Pick Top 3 Awards during FIX 2024, Helsinki Times, a prominent Finnish publication, honored three exceptional companies—Samsung SDI, Autonomous a2z, and MarkLines. These companies were selected from over 463 exhibitors for their groundbreaking contributions to future mobility and advanced technology. Helsinki Times Editor-in-Chief Alexis Kouros praised FIX 2024 for showcasing some of the most innovative advancements in technology, recognizing the event as a unique venue to explore global trends in robotics, AI, and autonomous solutions. The awards highlight Helsinki Times’s commitment to supporting technological innovation and promoting international growth for Korean tech leaders.
Expanding Horizons with FIX 2024’s Exhibitions and Programs
Beyond awards, FIX 2024 is a comprehensive platform for industry development. The event encompasses specialized exhibitions across EXCO, spotlighting the latest in UAM, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and digital transformation technologies. From the Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo to the ICT Convergence Expo Korea and the Daegu Robot Expo, attendees are witnessing emerging trends in AI, big data, blockchain, and industrial robotics.
A new feature at this year’s expo, the Start-up Arena, fosters connections between budding startups and major accelerators, including Samsung C-Lab and Plug and Play, thus supporting the incubation and scaling of next-gen technologies.
