This week, the 19th edition of the Cinematik International Film Festival in Piešťany is taking place, offering a good way to spend the time inside. Almost a hundred films from countries around the world are going to be screened. In addition to movies, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of accompanying events such as lectures, discussions, concerts. This year the theme is "opening eyes"; in other words, there are times that thanks to films we consciously or unconsciously expand our own horizons and come to new ideas, new perspectives. The program as well as other information is available here.

More Slovak electronic music

If you decided to stay inside, but nonetheless want to experience something new, have a look at another edition of the Scenery series, showcasing the beauty and history of Slovakia in combination with modern electronic music. In this edition, Whithe, a Bratislava-based electronic musician who produces immersive and atmospheric music, plays his set at Čachtice Castle during sun rise.
